Jun 20, 2011 - Jun 24, 2011 • Washington, DC

Blackstone Ranch Institute is in its third of a three year commitment as a lead sponsor for the National Geographic Society’s annual explorer’s symposium.

This is the organization’s most prestigious annual event, one which gathers many of the world’s most experienced explorers and scientists as well as promising emerging explorers in oceanography, archaeology, biodiversity, forest conservation, and other areas critical to preservation of culture and the environment.

The third annual Blackstone – National Geographic Innovation Challenge Grant will be announced at the symposium and will be awarded to the best of project proposals submitted by groups of at least two collaborating explorers. The challenge grant is designed to stimulate innovative collaborative projects that address major global environmental challenges.
